Dona inherited her wealth after the family sold their biotech business, Serono, for around $9 billion in 2007. After the sale, she has been keeping busy but before this movement took place, she worked as the Executive Director as well as managing the Public and Professional Affairs of the company. She loves sailing and has done well for herself in the sense that she won both the 2010 Bol d’Or Mirabaud and the 2013 Rolex Fastnet alongside her team. The same year, Dona and her team broke the record for the fastest America Discovery Route.
