These should only ever be purchased for sentimental or nostalgic means, turning your bedroom into a crazy mess of colorful cuties. That being said, in 1995, people commenced hoarding Beanie Babies when rumors of their potential resale values caused something of a buying spree among collectors. Their investments were well-founded, with eBay seeing plenty of profitable sales in the plush toy department, but this was a short-lived mania.
